I host a blog carnival on my pop culture blog (Pop Culture Curmudgeon), and at least 50% of the submissions I get are spam. It is very frustrating to waste so much time vetting every submission.

It is frustrating. I had to close one carnival down. When a carnival host offers categories every submitter should use them. It shows me you’re not spam! I delete all the ones without a category...
